Last October I profiled here the launch of the National Franchise Centre by LIT in partnership with Limerick Chamber. I am delighted to confirm that the first cohort of 30 budding entrepreneurs commenced the 1st 6-month intensive programme (it’s called the Franchise Acceleration Start-up Training – FAST) on the 17th January which will position them to launch their own business. Check out my post on the 6th October for the full outline of this programme. As part of the programme, we will have a guest speaker every week starting on the 3rd February. We plan to open up the guest speaker session to local businesses also as this will help the networking between established business and the candidates on the programme. The 1st guest speaker is David Killeen, chairman of the Irish Franchise Association and he will speak on Thursday 3rd February at 11.00 – location will be advised shortly.
